KATHMANDU, Dec. 22: Fashion and Beauty Pageant Choreographer Aswini Jha has been awarded with the ‘ National Youth Talent Award-2077’. Aswini, permanent resident of Kabilasi-07, Gair Bazar, Sarlahi was awarded by the hand of Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports, Jagat Bahadur Sunar (Bishwokarma) amidst a special ceremony organized by the Office of Ministry of Youth and Sports at Singhdurbar on Tuesday.
The award carries a purse of Rs 100,000. The government had decided to present the ‘National Youth Talent Award’ to talents making a significant contribution to the nation with their talents from respective fields. Jha is recognized for his fashion and beauty pageant choreography over national and international arena. He has already shown his creativity directing for about 200 shows.
Widely known for his extraordinary talent in creations is single person to be awarded in such category. He praised the government’s policy of encouraging and recognizing national talents’ contribution to the areas of art, culture, and tradition. “The government has started the culture of honoring national talents which will encourage extraordinary talents every year and I want to thank the government for this initiation.
” The list of about half dozen of people from various sectors includes Devika Budhathoki for Local Business, Tanka Bahadur Nepali (Sarki) in Science and Technology, Raut & Sons Multi-Purpose Agriculture Farm Pvt. Ltd. for agriculture business, Dhirendra Chand for Wildlife and Environment Conservation, Sunita Chhetri for Local Business and Handicraft, Lu Nibha Baal Sarokar Samuha for Education and Social.
