Kathmandu: The ‘Sports Day’ of the prestigious beauty pageant ‘Mrs. Nepal World 2026’, organized by RIBBON Entertainment, has concluded successfully with a series of exciting sporting competitions.
Presented by Whisper, powered by Arna Energy Drink, and co-sponsored by Nivea, the Sports Day provided contestants with an opportunity to demonstrate their sporting skills, physical fitness, team spirit and competitive spirit.
The event featured competitions in six disciplines — cricket, running, skipping, blind throw, football penalty shootout and basketball.
The major attraction of the Sports Day was the cricket match, in which the contestants were divided into two teams, ‘Laliguras’ and ‘Danphe’. To encourage and motivate the contestants, star players from the Nepal National Women’s Cricket Team, including Bindu Rawal, Kabita Kunwar, Soni Pakhrin, Manisha Upadhyay and Riya Sharma, also joined the contestants on the field.
Displaying an impressive performance, Team Danphe emerged as the cricket champion. In the individual cricket awards, Anju Pariyar was named Best Player, Neha Gupta received the Best Batter title, while Monika Tamang was declared Best Fielder.
In the running event, Sandhya Lama secured first place, followed by Anju Pariyar in second and Shilpa Neupane in third.
In skipping, Priyashikha Khadka emerged victorious, while Neha Gupta won the Blind Throw competition.
Similarly, Bindu Thapa Rana secured a double victory, winning both the Football Penalty Shootout and Basketball competitions.
The contestants showcased that they are not only confident in beauty and intellect but are equally capable of excelling in sports and physical activities.
According to the organizers at RIBBON Entertainment, such extracurricular activities play an important role in enhancing contestants’ self-confidence, teamwork, discipline and physical fitness, while also encouraging them to develop a well-rounded personality.
