Kathmandu: Dr. Sitanshu Dhakal, an MBBS graduate of the Patan Academy of Health Sciences, has been selected as a finalist for Miss Nepal 2026. She will compete in the pageant as Contestant No. 13.
Alongside her medical career, Dr. Dhakal has remained actively involved in social leadership, youth empowerment and public health advocacy. She has represented Nepal on various national and international platforms while contributing to initiatives related to health awareness and youth development.
She serves as a Mental Health Youth Advocate for UNICEF, where she works to raise awareness and promote open discussions about mental health. She is also the founder of Aarogya, an organisation established to promote health education and public awareness.
In 2023, Dr. Dhakal was selected as a United Nations Millennium Fellow. She had previously participated in Davos 2022, where she represented the voice of Nepali youth on an international platform.
As a medical professional, Dr. Dhakal has contributed not only to patient care but also to mental health advocacy, health education and youth leadership. Her selection as a finalist for Miss Nepal 2026 has attracted considerable public attention.
She will now compete against the other finalists for the Miss Nepal 2026 title. Her participation is being viewed as a strong combination of professional achievement, social responsibility, leadership and purpose.
