Kathmandu: Applications have officially opened for Mrs. Nepal World 2026, a prestigious national beauty pageant dedicated to married Nepali women. The competition is organised by Ribbon Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
The organiser formally announced the new edition during a press conference held on Wednesday at The Square Hotel in Pulchowk, Lalitpur. Eligible and interested Nepali women have been invited to participate and showcase their talent, confidence, leadership skills and personality on national and international platforms.
Established as a platform for women’s empowerment, leadership development, self-confidence, social responsibility and talent promotion, Mrs. Nepal World has provided married Nepali women with opportunities to demonstrate their abilities for more than a decade.
Speaking at the press conference, Ribbon Entertainment Chairman Nishukant Jha said this year’s competition would be organised on a larger and more professional scale, following international standards.
“Mrs. Nepal World is not merely a beauty pageant. It is a campaign to present the leadership, abilities, confidence and social contributions of Nepali women to the world. We are committed to making this edition more impactful and internationally recognised,” he said.
The first round of auditions is scheduled to take place on August 8 at Aryal International Hotel in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. There are no height or weight restrictions for participation. Married and single women who have completed at least the SEE, SLC or an equivalent level of education may apply from Nepal or abroad.
Applications can be submitted through the Khalti app or the official website of Ribbon Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
Candidates selected through the auditions will participate in a 45-day intensive training programme conducted by experienced national and international trainers. The training will cover personality development, public speaking, communication skills, leadership, stage presentation, ramp walking, fitness, social responsibility and other practical life skills.
The grand finale of Mrs. Nepal World 2026 is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu on October 31.
Ashwinikant Jha will serve as the competition’s choreographer, while Sandeep Bhujel will be responsible for dance choreography. The event will be coordinated by Ganga Maharjan, Samrat Shah and Bindiya Shrestha.
Speaking about the competition, choreographer Ashwinikant Jha said participants would gain valuable knowledge, practical experience and confidence throughout their journey. Adviser and journalist Bidur Giri noted that Mrs. Nepal World had become one of the most recognised beauty pageants for married Nepali women. Legal adviser, actor and advocate Krishna Dhungana said the competition had made a meaningful contribution to women’s empowerment.
Mrs. Nepal World 2025 Raksha Pant and Mrs. Nepal International 2025 Sanju Bhatt also shared their experiences, discussing the knowledge, confidence and opportunities they gained during the competition.
Alongside Mrs. Nepal World 2026, the same platform will also select the winners of Mrs. Nepal International 2026, MS International 2026 and Mrs. Nepal Cosmo 2026.
The winner of Mrs. Nepal World 2026 will represent Nepal at the international Mrs. World pageant scheduled to be held in the United States next year.
Beginning this year, Ribbon Entertainment has expanded its international pageant portfolio by introducing the new national title Mrs. Nepal Cosmo 2026. The winner of this title will officially represent Nepal at the prestigious Mrs. Cosmo international competition in Myanmar.
The organiser believes the new franchise will provide another major international platform for Nepali women to showcase their talent, personality, leadership qualities and Nepali culture before a global audience.
Ribbon Entertainment has stated that it has consistently worked to promote Nepal on international stages. Sanju Bhatt represented Nepal at Mrs. World 2025 in the United States, where she presented Nepal’s identity and culture before an international audience.
Earlier, Prithviya Thapa represented Nepal at Mrs. World 2023 and received the prestigious Humanitarian Award, bringing international recognition to the country.
The organiser believes such achievements highlight the abilities, leadership potential and international prospects of Nepali women while contributing to Nepal’s growing reputation on the global stage.
