Talented singer Rita K.C. from Dang has been honored with this year’s “Narayan Gopal Youth Music Award–2082.” She received a cash prize of forty thousand rupees, along with the award, which is presented by the National Youth Service Fund.

According to the Fund’s member-secretary, Dr. Bishnu Bahadur Bhandari, the evaluation committee—chaired by senior music composer Prof. Dr. Deepak Jangam—recommended singer K.C. for the award.

Active in the music field for nearly two decades, K.C. is also the Secretary of the National creator & performer Academy and is currently pursuing a PhD in Music. After receiving the award, she expressed her joy, saying that being selected this year was a great motivation for her career. “I am very happy and consider myself fortunate,” she shared.

She received the award on Mangsir 20 amid a special ceremony.
