Colombo, Sri Lanka – The 3rd International Achievement Award 2026, organized by Nikila Media Network and SYP Pvt. Ltd., has been grandly concluded in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka. According to the organizers, distinguished personalities from Nepal and several other countries were honored for their remarkable contributions in their respective fields.

Previously, the first edition of the award was held in Bangkok, Thailand, and the second edition took place in Bali, Indonesia. The third edition in Sri Lanka has continued the mission of recognizing talent and contributions at the international level.

During the ceremony, several personalities from Nepal who have made significant contributions in different sectors were honored:

  • Senior Educationist Lalita Prasai – Education Honor

  • Veteran Singer Sitaram Pokhrel – Melodious Voice Honor

  • Senior Actor Purushottam Acharya – Excellence in Arts Honor

  • Nepal’s Youngest Mayor Bidhyanand Chaudhary – Outstanding Local Politician Honor

  • Social Activist and Politician Khushbu Oli – Social Service Honor

  • Rita Devi Kattel and Ramesh Acharya – Special Recognition

  • Young Entrepreneur Gopal Khadka – Young Entrepreneur Honor

  • Model and Beautician Manju Thapa – Model and Beauty Honor

Additionally, Jyoti Bhattarai, Laxmi KC, and Rama Pokharel, among others, were presented with certificates of appreciation and tokens of love for their contributions to the event.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests from various countries. The presence of tourism entrepreneur Yedi Tarsisios added further international significance to the event.

According to Nikila Media Network, the main objective of the program is to recognize Nepali talents on international platforms and help them gain global recognition.

The program was chaired by actor and film star Shridev Bhattarai. Addressing the ceremony, he expressed confidence that Nepal–Sri Lanka relations in art, culture, and tourism would become stronger. He stated, “This award ceremony has strengthened not only the recognition of talents but also the friendship and cultural ties between the two countries.”

The event was hosted by director Sonit Raj Dhungel, whose fluent presentation made the ceremony more impactful.

The ceremony was held under the chief guestship of Nepal’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Purna Bahadur Nepali. Participation of Nepal in international awards and conferences with Sri Lanka has been gradually developing as a regular diplomatic and cultural practice.
