Kathmandu. Event Management Association Nepal (EMAN), a national organization established to protect the rights, interests, and welfare of event organizers and managers, has expressed serious concern over the recent controversy surrounding the event ‘Ab Gaucha America’ held in the United States.

Dispute Between Artist and Organizer Draws Negative Attention

In a statement issued by EMAN President Rajendra Luitel, the association noted that the ongoing dispute between singer Elina Chauhan and Binod Adhikari, the operator of Nepfly, the organizing company of the event, has created a negative impression within the entertainment sector due to widespread coverage in news and social media.

“An Inseparable Bond Like Nail and Flesh” — Association’s View

According to the association, the relationship between artists and event organizers is deeply interdependent and cooperative — “like nail and flesh,” inseparable and mutually supportive.
The statement emphasized that while misunderstandings may occasionally arise during event operations, such issues should be resolved through dialogue, consensus, and institutional mechanisms, which serve the best interests of all parties involved.

Need for Professional Conduct and Transparency

The statement reads:

“Every musical event or performance should be based on mutual understanding, transparency, and professional ethics between artists and organizers. Personal conflicts or blame games not only damage the image of both parties but also undermine the credibility of the entire Nepali entertainment industry.”

Call for Respectful Dialogue and Responsible Behavior

The association urged both parties directly involved in the controversy to maintain professional dignity and mutual respect while resolving the dispute.
It also called upon all artists, organizers, and diaspora-based institutions to act responsibly and with restraint to prevent such conflicts from recurring in the future.

Association’s Conclusion and Commitment

EMAN reminded that publicly presenting misunderstandings or disputes in a negative manner can harm the reputation of artists, organizers, and the entire event management community.
Such outcomes, it warned, could ultimately damage international trust and respect toward Nepal’s culture, art, and creative industries.

Concluding the statement, the association urged all artists and organizers to remain honest and respectful toward their profession, stating:

EVENT Management Association Nepal has always been committed to upholding the dignity, welfare, and professional integrity of artists, organizers, and the entire creative community. The association stands ready to continue its efforts toward a more organized, transparent, and disciplined collaboration in the days ahead.”
