Kathmandu. Musician Rajendra Bajgai has been elected as the president of the National Creator and Perfomer Academy. Bajgai was elected unopposed in the first general meeting of the foundation held in the capital on Saturday.
In the election held for a two-year term, all positions including the chairman were unopposed. Among them, model Usha Uphreti was elected as vice president, musician Deepak Sharma as general secretary, singer Sujata KC as secretary, and singer Narayan Bahadur Thapa as treasurer.
Bhadra Bahadur Oli, Mahendra Chand (Michael), Bhuwan Bahadur Nepali, Puskar Sunuwar, Rita KC, Uttam Prasad Adhikari, Shilan Lamsal, Manoj Pariyar, Navraj Upreti, Sabin Subedi, Benisha Paudel and Pratiksha Kafle were elected unopposed.
In the program held under the chief Guest of Water supply Minister Abdul Khan, various persons who supported the organization were also honored. Journalists Kuber Giri, Raghunath Sapkota, Baburam Sigdel, Gita Adhikari, Sanu Shrestha, Krishna Bhushal, Rajendra  Luitel and others who have helped through media including journalist Bishnu Prasad Subedi, who is also a Media advisor and named the organization, have also been honored. Similarly, other teachers and presenters who have contributed from different fields have also been honored in the program.
In the program, journalist Subedi, senior musician Tika Bhandari, legal advisor of the organization Rajendra Sharma, advocate Geeta Pokharel and advisor of the organization Madhav Kharel provided 10,000 each for the financial development of the organization. Similarly, patron Dr. Rizal has provided support of 25,000.
Chetan Sapkota, President of Musicians Association, General Secretary of Royalty Collection Society B. Pandey, senior singer Ramakrishna Dhakal, Vice President of Film Journalists Association Kuber Giri, senior musician Tika Bhandari and others gave their opinions. Speaking in the program, various people said that the important thing is not only to create an organization, but also how it works. He also suggested to the newly elected working committee that there are many organizations in the field of art.
