Kathmandu- Nepalese child singer Prasun Jang Pokharel won the World Rising Star (2023) competition recently held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Pokharel, who represented Nepal in the competition, also won the national costume title. Pokharel, who returned home after winning the competition, was honored at a program held at Shital Niwas on Saturday. Bidya Devi Bhandari congratulated her for making Nepal’s name known to the world and handed over the award with best wishes.
CEO of Bright Future Academy Mohan Karki, Miss Mongol 2018 Jangmu in Sherpa and director of Parivartan Event House Raj Barailly participated in the program. Pokharel, who was the fourth runner-up in the Teen Star International 2022 competition held in Thailand, is studying in Class 9 at Bright Future Academy. Prasoon is the winner of DSA Singing Star 2019. After becoming the winner of DSA Star 2019, a dance, singing and acting competition organized by Paribartan Event House in the capital, Pokharel came to Georgija representing Nepal. There he competed with competitors from 42 countries.
