The 72nd edition of Miss World has been won by Opal Suchata Chuangshri of Thailand.
Chuangshri won the Miss World title at the grand finale held in Hyderabad, India last night. She was crowned by the 71st Miss World Kristina Pezkova.
The closing ceremony, i.e. the Miss World Grand Finale, was held at Hitex in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Ethiopia’s Hassett Dereje became the first runner-up in this competition, while Martinique’s Aurelie Joachim became the second runner-up.
Martinique’s Aurelie Joachim, Ethiopia’s Hassett Dereje, Poland’s Maya Klajda, and Thailand’s Opal Suchata reached the finals of the competition.
Miss Nepal World Srichha Pradhan participated from Nepal in this Miss World. Pradhan was eliminated before reaching the quarterfinals.
The exciting pageant, which began on May 7, concluded on Saturday, May 31, with the selection of the new Miss World.
According to Miss World, famous Bollywood actor Sonu Sood was presented with the Miss World Humanitarian Award at the closing ceremony.
The Miss World organization started the Miss World pageant in 1951 with the slogan “Beauty with a Purpose”.
