On the occasion of the 12th Chhaya Chhabi Teej Music Awards 2082, organized by Chhaya Chhabi Creation, the Dipasha Memorial Award, established last year in memory of the late popular model Dipasha B.C., has once again been announced.
This year, the award—consisting of a cash prize of NPR 11,001, a certificate of honor, and a traditional dosalla—will be presented to well-known model and music video artist Sanchita Shahil. Last year, the award was presented to popular model and artist Anju Niraula.
Similarly, during the 12th Chhaya Chhabi Teej Music Awards 2082, the Chhaya Chhabi Teej Women’s Honor will be conferred on singer Geeta Bhattarai, singer and actress Sarika Ghimire, singer Anju Shrestha, beautician Sangita Rana Magar, and Apsana Newa Hayu.
In addition, this edition will also feature the Teej Women Diaspora Honor, which will be awarded to U.S.-based singer Sushila Basnet Timilsina from Boston.
According to Chhaya Chhabi Creation’s president Shantipriya, such honors are being presented to recognize and appreciate individuals for their significant contributions in their respective fields.
Chhaya Chhabi Creation, which has been actively working for a long time in the promotion of Nepali films and music, continues to honor, encourage, and support both emerging and established artists in the Nepali art industry.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Bhadra 6 at Levis Garden, Kathmandu.
