Pokhara – The SEE Dance Championship 2083, Kids Dance Championship Season 1 (Gandaki Province), and Creator Honors Program, organized by Bajrayogini Dance and Music Academy, concluded successfully at the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hall.
The event was held under the chief guestship of Gandaki Province Minister for Social Development, Youth and Sports Rekha Gurung, with Kaski District Police Chief (SP) Nabin Karki attending as the special guest. The program witnessed the presence of distinguished personalities, artists, social workers, educators, parents, and media representatives.
Organized with the objective of promoting talent, art, culture, and creativity, the event featured outstanding dance performances by children and youth from various districts of Gandaki Province. According to the organizers, the program encouraged the younger generation while contributing to the development of the arts sector.
In the Kids Dance Championship Season 1, Yojana Kashyap emerged as the winner. Eva Gurung became the first runner-up, Anushka Kumal the second runner-up, Ayushma Pulami Magar the third runner-up, and Karishma Gurung the fourth runner-up. Yojana Kashyap also received the Public Choice Award.
Similarly, Oshika Gurung was honored as the “Most Energetic Performer,” Ishana Shrestha received the “Best Skill” award, Pranisha Basnet won the “Best Expression” award, and Ram Lama was declared the “Best Choreographer.”
In the SEE Dance Championship 2083, Namuna Gurung secured the championship title, while Dipesh Sunar became the first runner-up and Sajan Rana Magar the second runner-up.
Winners were awarded cash prizes, while top-performing contestants received full scholarships for Grades 11 and 12. Other finalists were granted a 50 percent scholarship facility.
On the same occasion, senior lyricist, composer, and literary figure Padmaraj Dhakal, senior dance director Kesh Bahadur Gurung, advocate and social activist Anjani Pariyar “Pyasi,” and courageous woman Maiya Nepali were honored with the “Creator Honor Award” for their significant contributions in their respective fields.
Academy President Mahesh Godar stated that such competitions play an important role in identifying young talents and promoting Nepalese art, culture, and creativity. He also informed that the academy plans to organize even more impactful programs in the future.
The organizers expressed gratitude to all participants, trainers, parents, guests, sponsors, media organizations, and supporting institutions for their valuable contributions to the success of the event.
