Rajendra Luitel (Raj) Elected as Central President at the Third General Convention and Electoral Assembly of Event Management Association Kathmandu, 2082
Rajendra Luitel (Raj) has been elected as the Central President of the Event Management Association of Kathmandu during its third General Convention and Electoral Assembly 2082. A total of 13 new executive committee members were elected under Luitel’s leadership for the upcoming two-year term of the umbrella organization representing event organizers and managers from across the country.
The convention was held at Boutique Hotel, Lazimpat, Kathmandu. The newly elected members include: Trishna Gurung (Vice President), Samir Lama (Vice President), Sonitaraj Dhungel (General Secretary), Bipin Pokharel (Secretary), Manoj Thapa (Treasurer), Bhagirath Kumar Pokharel (Joint Secretary), Sapana Rai (Joint Treasurer), and Subhash Shrestha Pradhan, Ramkrishna Shrestha, Rahul Banjade, Pooja Regmi, and Lomas Karki (Executive Members).
The election was overseen by senior singer Sitaram Koirala, senior journalist BM Acharya, and advocate Keshav Pokharel, who served as the election commissioners.
The newly elected officials were congratulated and presented with certificates by the chief guest, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Indira Rana Magar, and distinguished guests including Dr. Arpana Shah. Representatives from various organizations participated in the convention as observers.
More than 120 event organizers and companies from across the country took part in the convention, during which three individuals were appointed as advisors. Certificates of appointment were presented to senior physician and lyricist Dr. Bhola Rijal, Chairman of the Film Development Board Dinesh DC, and Professor at Teaching Hospital and former Governor of Lions Club Dr. Sushila Mall.
In the same event, outgoing president Mr. Lab Bahadur Karki was honored as the Patron of the Association. The program was hosted and emceed by BM Acharya.
