Kathmandu – Celebrated lyricist Tek Tamang’s musical event ‘Sangitik Sanjh 2082’ was held with grandeur at Nepal Academy, Kamaladi. Organized by the Songwriters’ Association of Nepal, the event featured the presentation of 17 selected songs penned by Tamang, making the evening a memorable one.

Renowned singers including Kiran Pradhan, Shiva Pariyar, Swaroopraj Acharya, Satyaraj Acharya, Anju Panta, David Shankar, Sangeeta Rana Pradhan, Sumina Lo, Reshma Bomjan, and Asmita Adhikari graced the stage with soulful renditions of Tamang’s works. Songs like “Mai Khukuri” and “Angaloma Berirahu” deeply moved the audience, highlighting patriotic and emotional themes.

Former Chancellor of Nepal Academy, Bairagi Kaila, who was the chief guest, praised the event as a “cultural milestone.” Association President Basanta Bityasi Thapa noted the program as a strong link between Nepali music and the general public.

AIG of Nepal Police by profession, Tek Tamang has published several lyrical collections and continues to inspire through his literary and musical contributions. The event was attended by lawmakers, former ministers, artists, journalists, and music enthusiasts. Tamang expressed his heartfelt gratitude, calling the evening an “unforgettable moment of life.”
