Kathmandu: Luna Luitel, a 26-year-old beauty, academic, and aspiring public health professional, was crowned Miss Nepal World 2025 at the grand finale of the 31st edition of the Miss Nepal pageant held on 30 August 2025 at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur.

Luitel triumphed over 25 other contestants to win the prestigious title organized by The Hidden Treasure, earning the opportunity to represent Nepal at the upcoming Miss World 2026 competition.

Born on 3 March 1999 in Kathmandu, Nepal, Luitel pursued her early education in Nepal before moving to Australia at age 17 to study nursing at Western Sydney University, where she graduated in 2021. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Public Health at the University of Sydney.

Before her Miss Nepal victory, Luitel also achieved recognition in pageantry as the first runner-up at Miss Teen Nepal 2015, demonstrating her long-standing engagement with the world of beauty and social platforms.

In addition to her academic and advocacy pursuits, she is known to be a certified scuba diver, reflecting her diverse interests beyond pageantry.

At the Miss Nepal 2025 event, Luitel was crowned by outgoing titleholder Ashma Kumari KC and also received the subtitle of Miss DHI during the competition.

Other winners at the event included Urusha Bhandari as Miss Nepal International, Sony Ghale as Miss Nepal Earth, and Deepshikha Nepal as Miss Nepal Cosmo.

Luitel has spoken about using her platform to promote social causes and inspire young Nepalis, embracing her role not just as a beauty queen but as a representative of Nepalese talent and ambition on the global stage.
